CONGRATULATIONS COACH JIM!

It's hard to keep such exciting news quiet but Coach Jim was literally clueless right up and until he was seated at Stratford City Hall where he was recognized for his years of volunteering for both Mount Forest Minor Hockey and Mount Forest Minor Ball. SURPRISE!!!!!!

You don't have to bow or curtsey, but remember to call him "The Award Winning Coach Jim".

The following is from MPP John Wilkinson's office.....

It was a great event and we were very pleased-more than 200 in attendance. Attached is a photo for Wellington North recipient Jim Donald.

SEE Coach Jim CAN smile! And - his hat is removable....
L-r: Dan Yake, Deputy Mayor, Wellington North; Jim Donald and John Wilkinson, MPP, Perth-Wellington.

Guest speaker Tim Taylor, Former Captain of the Tampa Bay Lightening thanked all our volunteers and noted his appreciation and that without all the volunteers that assisted him he may not have realized his dream of being in the NHL and he would not have had the success he enjoyed in his chosen sport.

Jim Donald- Presented by MPP John Wilkinson & Deputy Mayor Dan Yake With more than 30 years of coaching experience, paired with great dedication to his players, Jim Donald has been inspiring and motivating youth in Wellington North. Jim's passion for hockey and baseball is matched by his passion to see skill development and personal growth in every one of his players. Jim is also known in his community for his great generosity, always lending a helping hand or making donations for the minor sport programs. Nominated by Sarah Bowers-Peter, Jim Donald has been successfully teaching and inspiring the youth of Wellington North!

For those interested, I can forward you the nomination paper - to give even MORE background as to why Coach Jim is so deserving of this honor!

See you at the Arena,

Sarah
