Atoms Clean Up At Skills Competition
On Sunday afternoon at the Reeves Challenge Cup the Atom Rep Rams cleaned up at the skills competition.

Troy Weber and Jordan Reaman both won their challenge of fastest skater and when the two faced off against each other for a skate off their race resulted in a tie.
The most accurate shot had Rams Jake Zeinstra and Derick Acheson up to the challenge and the teammates tied with 2 out of 8 shots each.
Tristan Sylvestre and Blake Lewis represented the Rams for the hardest shot and Sylvestre won with 42 km/h just beating Lewis with his 40km/h and Walkerton's best at 38 km/h.
After the skills the Rams got ready to play the Walkerton Capitals. Walkerton came out very strong.  Noah Kroes received the first shot of the game and denied the Capitals with a glove save.  But the Capitals intensity continued and they were able to open the scoring when they beat Kroes on a breakaway.
Jordan Reaman then scores top shelf with assists going to Derick Acheson and Alex Kieffer.
Tristan Sylvestre and Warren Zeinstra both had hard shots from the blue line but were both denied by the Capitals cager.
The second period the two teams both had scoring opportunities but both were scoreless for the period.
The third period was action packed.  Walkerton scores after Kroes stopped the puck 3 times but they kept banging at the puck to push Kroes and the puck into the net.
Determined Jake Zeinstra fired the puck in from the blue line to tie the two teams again.
The two teams were getting aggressive and the Rams got two penalities giving the Capitals a 5-on-3 advantage.  After an initial save the Capitals scored on their rebound.
Walkerton again scores when the Rams were unable to clear the puck out of their end.
Jake Mulder with a flip shot beat the goalie through the 5-hole bringing the score 4-3.  The Rams were digging hard wanting to tie the game and even pulling Kroes for the 6-man advantage but even with this the Rams were unable to tie the game.
