Midget Reps WIN Durham Tournament
That's right folks, WE WON A TOURNAMENT !!
The day began with a talk about how a TEAM of NOBODYS (que the Toronto Maple Leafs) can come together, and out of shear hard work and COMMITMENT can come out and beat ANYBODY ANYTIME....you gents can do the same !!

Our first game was against Kincardine.  First period, rather boring, no scoring from either side.  Second period, Luke McLellan gets us going, with an assist going to Wes Penney.  Second goal was scored by Eric O'Neil, with an assist again going to Wes Penney, AND Todd (do I play defence??)Taylor.  We're up two nothing going into...you guessed it the DREADED third !!  Kincardine comes back and ties it at two.....whoops....Now we go into a 5 minute overtime....no scoring.  And now for something completely different, a SHOOT OUT...we've never done a SHOOT OUT.  Kincardine scores on their first attempt, we don't !!  After that our buddy Justin RAWN throws up a brick wall across our net.  Kincardine doesn't score again, but we score on a goal by Todd Taylor, and by none other than Burke Seehaver.  You should have seen that goal on the S L O W motion replay...wait a second, that WAS in real time.....no worries Burke, it went IN !!
Second game was against Meaford.  We played this Meaford team in Mt Forest on the 8th of October, and beat them quite handily.  This was a different Meaford team this time around.  NO scoring in the first period.  Meaford scores the only goal in the second.  On to that period that we seem to have difficulties with...but NO MORE !!  Luke McLellan scores to tie the game at ONE.  Ryan Aitken got the assist.  On to OVERTIME...something we're becoming accustomed to.  Eric O'Neil scores a little more than half way through the overtime period.  He was assisted by Luke McLellan.  Eric won the game MVP for that little performance.  Congratulations Eric !!
OK, CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, against none other than Hanover.  Remember Hanover, we LOST to them in a recent UGLY game.  NOT again my friends, NOT again.
Mt Forest jumps out to a first period lead on a nice goal by Todd Taylor...little high slot work...assist going to Luke McLellan.  Only scoring in the second is by Hanover to tie the game at one.  On to a GREAT gritty third period performance.  Eric O'Neil gets us going, with another assist to Luke McLellan.  Then that "passionate" Morgan Holliday gets another break away(he'd had a couple during the day).  Only this time, he SCORES !!  Did I mention this was while we were short handed !!  Well done Morgan !!
Hanover gets to within one though on a power play goal.  That was it, because Luke McLellan was able to get control of the puck in our end with 1:34 left in the game, lifted his head to see the Hanover net empty, and sent a nice shot from just inside our blue line to the center of the Hanover net !!
That was it GAME OVER, Mt Forest victorious, as it should be !!
Our stand out goalie, Justin Rawn, won the MVP in the Championship Game.
On a side note, the Captain has been named - Ryan AITKEN.  Assistant Captains are Luke McLELLAN, Wes PENNEY, and Dylan(determination) HOFFMAN.  Luke will sew the letters on the jerseys..... Congratulations !!
