Rams Roll in Lopsided Win
The Rams rolled to a dominating 9-1 win over the game but shorthanded visiting Howick Juveniles.  After playing shorthanded themselves in Arthur last week, Howick arrived with only 8 skaters.  Despite generating several scoring chances throughout the first period it wasn't until 1:20 of the first period that the Rams were able to bulge the twine on a nice powerplay marker on a feed from Ian Corley to Evan Shortreed.  Less than a minute later Jordan Barber made it 2-0 on a nice shot off a sweet rebound on a blast from Colin Moran at the point.  Howick did come out strong early in the 2nd period, firing a 3 shot salvo at Ram netminder Brett Aitken - only to be turned away. Ian Corley picked up a nice pass from Ryan Pinder and curled in front of the net and burried one 5-hole to make it 3-0.  Mitchell Ferguson made a fabulous block off a hard point shot to keep the Howick squad off the scoresheet a few minutes later. The Rams made it 4-0 a little later as they notched a shorthanded marker. Roice McDougall-Lamont picked up a loose puck and feathered a nice pass to Colin Moran who was able to use Roice as a decoy a rifled a hard wrist shot past the Howick cager.  At 7:15 of the period Howick did complete a pretty 3 on 1 passing play to close the gap a little.

Their joy was short lived as Jordan Barber notched another short handed marker as he flipped a nice shot glove side to make it 5-1.  The defence of Brian Corley and Zach Arthur was spectacular as they put up a virtual brick wall at the blue line and flustered the oncoming forwards continually.  Crystal Corley started the 3rd period in net for the Rams making her second appearance.  The Rams started out very quickly as Ian Corley notched his 2nd of the game on a play from Moran.  The "mucker" line of Roice McDougall-Lamont, Aaron Capell and Justin Coburn dominated several shifts in the period creating turnover after turnover with some heavy forechecking.  Roice did get a nice pass back to Brian Corley at the point. His shot was tipped in by Matt Ostrander to put the locals up 7-1.  Colin Moran was at it again when his point shot was tipped in by JD Pinder on a shot that barely made it to the back of the net.  Minutes later Moran dished out a devastating open ice hit.  The Rams continued to roll 3 solid lines against the game but shorthanded visitors.  The final marker was a fitting end as Captain Corley finished off a great game with a shorthanded marker on a nice pass from Zach Arthur to complete his hat trick.  The Rams
