Bantam Rep Rams WIN Aylmer Tournament
Easter Weekend and the Bantam Rep Rams were ready to do more than eat chocolate.

Good Friday and game 1 saw the Rams go up against West Lorne.  The team came out strong with Bridgwater and Bilton each scoring unassisted in period one.  Period 2 saw Bridgwater again score unassisted and Capell netting one from Bridgwater's assist.  The entire team played a well disciplined game and Rumph secured the shutout.

Game 2 later that night was against home town Aylmer.  Trommelen was in net and the team came out having to battle against Aylmer and the hometown refs.  The home team opened the scoring in period one.  Period two saw MOFO come out ahead with 2 goals by Bridgwater, one unassisted, one assissted by Riehl.  Third period and Aylmer tied it up.

Saturday and game 3.  With the tournament set up of points/period, the team needed 4 points to advance to B finals or 9 points to advance to A finals.  This game saw the RAMS up against Twin Centre Stars.  Having met twice before and splitting the games, this was the game to win.  Period 1 and Bridgwater scored from Doney.  Period 3 and Bridgwater scored from O'Neill.  Rumph had her second shut out!  9 Points were earned and the A finals were set.  The entire team made this game exciting and Twin Centre was not pleased to be pushed down to the B side finals!

Sunday - A Championship Finals - set for 5:00 p.m. meant the team had a very long wait before they could get into this game.  Glanbrook was the opponent.  Having watched a couple of their games, the coaches let the team know that they would be facing a hard checking, fast moving, great passing team.  The A game would be needed for the A final.
Trommelen got the start in net and he showed his mettle with some great stops right off the whistle.  Each member of the RAMS were needed to do their part as this Glanbrook team was hungry for the win.  The RAMS stayed disciplined and teamwork was key.  Period 1 showed Glanbrook score the first marker at 8:48.  The RAMS hard work was rewarded at 1:36 with Capell scoring from Bridgwater and Orr.  33 seconds later and Cook added to the score from Bondy and Francis.  Period 2 and MOFO extended the lead with Bridgwater scoring at 5:15 from O'Neill and Officer.  Glanbrook was not going down without a fight and set the score within one at 4:36 in the second.  Capell answered with the RAMS fourth goal at 2:27 from Bridgwater and Doney.  End of second and it's 4 - 2 Rams.
Third period and the RAMS could feel the win.  They checked, they passed, they moved - they WANTED this game!  Glanbrook tried to deflate their spirits with a goal at 12:28 but Bilton regained the two goal lead from O'Neill and Officer.  Bridgwater pushed the game out of Glanbrook's reach with a goal at 1:24 fro Cook and Orr.

The entire team played some of their best hockey of the season and the coaches and fans are very proud of them.  WAY TO GO RAMS!!!!
