Juvs are Back
09/10 season for the Juveniles is under way, this year we have 4 players from Clifford joining us with the remainder players are from Mt Forest with a few coming back from a couple of years off of minor hockey to rejoin the team.

The Mt Forest Juvenile season started on the road in Shallow Lake on Halloween night with a hard fought game the boys lost 5-4 to the home team with the game being curfewed with 4 minutes remaining.

The first home game for the boys was on Nov 8 with Lucknow being the opposition, with a the locals killing the first penalty of the game Grant Wilson finished off a nice pass from Scott MacEachern for the short handed goal and the lead in the game, the visitors tied the game with 6:47 to go in the first period. The second period started the way the first ended with the locals only playing with four players on the ice most of the second period with the visitors unable to capatilize with the extra man they were able to go up 2-1 half way through the period. A couple minutes after the go ahead goal Cody Rice was able to pot a powerplay goal to even things out and 30 seconds later Mitchell Ferguson put Mount Forest back in the lead, one minute later Lucknow tied the game going into the the intermission. With the third period under way and a face off in the visitors zone Jon Boyle put Mt Forest ahead to stay, with 5:35 to go in the game Nyle Cook made a nice pass to Wes Penney in the slot and Wes put it in the top corner out of the reach of the visiting goalie to put the game away. Mt Forest goalie Justin Rawn stood tall in the third period and held Lucknow off the score sheet to secure his first win of the season. Good work boys looking forward to more of the same in the weeks to come.
