Mad Bears keep Rolling
March 18th and 19th the Mad Bears - travelled to Alliston for the Tyke Select Tournament.  The two days saw our team play a total of 5 games.

The first game was against the host TNT (Alliston).  Mount Forest played a hard fought game but the score was not indicative of the play with the Rams losing to the hosts.
The next game Mount Forest again came out hard against Georgina.  The Rams could not find the back of the net and Georgina, on the strength of 4 goals from their top player defeated the Rams 5-0.
The 3rd game of the day Mount Forest was against Aurora.  Aurora got out to a lead on the Rams but true the way the Rams have played all year they did not give up.  Brody Leblanc got the Rams even at one - unassisted.  Aurora then replied with two of their own making it 3-1 going into the 3rd period.  Mount Forest turned on the pressure and Leblanc again found the score sheet assisted by Eric McLean.  Mount Forest kept coming and pulled their goalie but ran out of time losing 3-2.
The 4th game was on the 19th against TNT again in the semi-finals.  TNT came out fast and at the end of the first period Mount Forest found themselves down 2-0.  Jacksen MacKenzie made sure that TNT would not score again with his stellar goaltending.   The Rams again played a hard game against TNT but were unable to score.  Mount Forest ended the tournament with the 2-0 loss.
The 5th and final game was an exhibition game against TNT II.  Mount Forest was looking forward to avenging an earlier loss this year to TNT II in Mount Forest.
The Rams this time got on the board first with Luke Eurig wristing a shot past the netminder with the assist going to Patrick Brown.  Into the second TNT tied things up only to have Brayden Darroch spring Brody Leblanc in on a breakaway and he made no mistake putting Mount Forest back into the lead 2-1.
In the 3rd it was Owen Troyer adding a little insurance for the visitors with a great individual effort finishing it off with a shot high over the TNT goalies shoulder.  That would be the final score 3-1 Rams.
Good work team!!
Next up the Orillia Tournament April 10th and 11th.
