Novice LL Rams are E.H.M.H.A. Tournament Champions!
Heading into their first tournament of the season, with a flawless 13-0-0 record, The Mount Forest Rams Novice LL team had their minds and hearts set on winning the Championship!

Game 1 saw the Rams facing a hesitant Hespeler Blue team. The Rams were able to take control early in the game with 2 beautiful goals from Michael Rice, assisted by Alec Beauregard and Joseph Ferguson. Followed by a goal from Spencer MacArthur, assist going to Brent Hieber, and a one-timer from Dylan Dallaire. End of first period action saw the Rams up by 4.
Hespeler were able to tie up the Rams in the second, only allowing 1 goal from Hieber, assisted by Dallaire. However, The Rams were able to net 2 more in the third from MacArthur- unassisted and Dallaire- unassisted, to end the game with a dominating 7-0 victory, giving netminder Marissa Cottingham her 6th shutout of the season. Player of the game went to Dylan Dallaire with 2 goals and 1 assist.

Their second game of the tournament placed Mt.Forest against an eager Hespeler Green team. Down 2 goals in the first 3 minutes of action, the Rams were faced with their first comeback of the season.The Rams replied with goals from Hieber -unassisted, Brodie Rice- from Justin Brown and Brown netting his own- unassisted, putting the Rams up 3-2 at the end of the first period.
Goalie Marissa Cottingham and strong defensive skills from Eric McLean, Owen Weiser, Zachary Pratt and Spencer MacArthur proved enough and the team was able to keep Hespeler from scoring another goal, while Mt.Forest netted 5 more in the third; 2 from Michael Rice- unassisted, 2 from Dylan Dallaire, with assists going to McLean, MacArthur and M.Rice and 1 from Brodie Rice assisted by M. Rice. Final score 8-2 for the Rams, advancing them on to the Finals. Player of the game went to Michael Rice for his excellent game play, and his 2 goals, 2 assists.

Tired from a long day, but showing no signs of weakness, the Rams hit the ice to face a strong Acton Chrysler team. The Rams were able to get on the board first with a goal from Michael Rice, assisted by Alec Beauregard and Brodie Rice. The teams fought hard and the end of first period action only saw the Rams up by 1.
Coming out in the second the Rams were looking for a 2 goal cushion, and found it, on a breakaway goal by Brodie Rice. Acton came back fighting and a deflected shot found the back of the Rams net, dropping the lead back down to 1.  The Rams stayed strong and Hieber took advantage of a mishandled puck sending it up to Dallaire for the Rams third goal of the game.
Acton were able to keep the Rams from adding to the score in the third, and after a well matched game Mt. Forest proved to be victorious. Final score 3-1 for Mt.Forest with Player of the game awarded to netminder Marissa Cottingham for another outstanding performance.
