Mount Forest give up win to North Stars
The North Stars had a long drive to get to Mount Forest and it was clear they were eager to make to most of it, the Rams didn't give it away, but looked less ready and willing to give it their all....

Mount Forest gets underway with Brittany, who right away has her stick ready to intercept and get down to the North Stars end. Natalee gives a nice pass and Kaithlyn uses the boards to make her way in, as the puck travels to the blue line, Jenna is there to give a hard shot on goal. The Rams get good chances and give a lot of shot on net, but the shots are the shot a lot like the girls, lovely and cute and not much of a challenge.
Natalee hussles behind the net and Cali helps her out, with Kiawna working it to create chances. But the Stars get Matthea hurrying back with Danielle they get the puck going the right direction again for a little bit. The team from the Bruce Peninsula gets in on an attack and they can't be stopped this time as they make their first goal. They are definitely the more aggressive team as they get Mount Forest stuck in a familiar place, their own end. Cali gave it a great try and made her way from behind her own net, but gets stopped on the blue line.
The second period starts with Gillian keeping the puck in and Brittany gets off a good shot on net. The puck returns towards the Mount Forest end and Meagan has to dive as her defence gets her in trouble, she makes the save but a minute later it is dejavu as the puck lays teasingly on the goalline waiting for some one the pushed it in, the Stars do not hesitate, 2-0.
Jordyn comes from behind along the boards and gets in position as she passes to Danielle, who's shot gets stopped. Kiawna gets pushed around but there is no moving her, she stands her ground. As the Stars get another great chance with nobody to stop them, it is due to some weak skating on their part that they can't finish the attack. Mount Forest does win their share of face offs but passes are weak and don't end up where they should, so the game turns quick the wrong way.
Natalee gets a good shot off the face off and woke up the goalie. Gillian tries a backhand, gets her own rebound and give a shot again, but also stopped. Danielle gets along the boards and gets close to the North Stars net as the game goes on, her shot just wide. As the buzzer goes the third goal crosses the line underneath Meagan.
The third period has the girls working harder, they seem to have got their second wind and although Meagan has to make some saves she shows great skill in doing so. Gillian works hard with the puck and struggles the get the puck in. Erica and Jordyn get into the action together and they look great but thats not getting them any points. Matthea makes a great play and brings it into the North Stars end as they all look and see her go. But the North Stars haven't much luck either anymore as the post saves Mount Forest from another point on the board.
Jordyn skates up, Gillian follows her and Jordyn gives a great pass to her as she positions her self infront of the goalie, but at the last second the pass gets intercepted and the play turns. But Jenna makes sure they don't get far as Gillian can pick up the puck again as her hard shot is stopped.
Kiawna shows great defensive work as she passes on to Kaithlyn, who gets it to Danielle where the play stops as Natalee stands waiting for the puck, who unless she moves is not coming her way. Danielle shows some more great work as she goes for the net. Brittany shows insight in her game as she waits for the right moment to pass the puck. As the buzzer goes, it was definitely not a bad game, but a bit off a sleepy one at times.
