B Side Champs
The atom girls competed in the Durham Tournament this weekend. It started out against a very strong Saugeen Shores team with a 3-1 loss our 3rd in a row it was devastating to the girls the bubble has burst.
With sheer determination not to lose again the girls came out against Ayton and trounced them 2-0 the score wasn't an indicator of the play of the team the Ayton goalie stood tall with 40 plus shots against her. This meant we where on to the B side final against Aaron Elderslie, the girls had fire in the eyes and about 5lbs of sugar and pizza in there guts, but it didn't matter they had there eye on the prize and where not going to let it slip away. The girls dominated the game from start to finish with a monsterous 7-1 trouncing of the opposition. The real battle took place between Hanna and there superstar both standing in at 5'6' and 100lbs of muscle these two girls went head to head and Hanna came out on top with her best performance she has ever had on the ice ( way to go Hanna). As for the rest of the team they all excelled in whatever the coaches asked them to do what a great bunch of girls to coach. They went out there and skated a 110% and it showed in the score at the end as we came away with the victory and B side champs. Way to go girls you have some pretty proud parents and coaches watching you with the way that you have competed all year.
