Week of December 5th
After a difficult November the past week has been a bright spot for the Peewee boys!!

November was a tough month. Enough said.
This past week the boys showed us that they are quite capable of better things.
On Wednesday night in Minto the boys got off to a tough start. They played shorthanded for 6 minutes of the first period and never really got any offense going with only a handful of shots. Not sure what happened between the first and second period but the boys came out flying in the second. The forwards were absolutely relentless in their forecheck and the defensemen were pinching well. The effort paid off with a goal by Luke with assists going to Cole and Quentin. The boys did not stop after the second period intermission. They continued to work hard but were not rewarded with another goal until Garrason took the puck from end to end and scored a much needed goal - Shorthanded to boot!! Cole added an empty netter to seal the victory with assists going to Nole and Warren. Rourke played very well between the pipes stopping all Minto shots. The shut out was well deserved - thanks as well to solid efforts on defense from Riley and Corey.
As part of Husky day in Durham the boys ventured over to Durham with thoughts of continuing their efforts from the Minto game. They did not disappoint. The first period was scoreless. The second period saw the boys score two goals. Alex and Garrason moved the puck around to Jake as he hammered one home from the slot. Jake added another one later by banking it off a Durham skate in front of the net. In the third period Durham thought they should try banking one off of Rourke's head - they did and made it a one goal game. Twenty seconds later Alex redirected a pass out from the corner from Garrason to retake the 2 goal lead. Durham pulled the goalie and eventually Mount Forest got one in the empty net. Luke put it off the goal post from our end, Cole got it in the Durham zone and got it over to Quentin who put it the net. Rourke had another good game in net stopping 17 shots.
We also appreciate having Sully on the bench during the games - great statistician.

Great two games guys!! Your stats have been updated so have a look at them online.
