March Break Tournament Championship Finalists!
For the final weekend of their very successful season, 36 -13 - 2, a 6th place finish out of 20 teams in regular play, a tournament win, second in their playoff division and 2 tournament finalists, the Midget LL Rams traveled to Parkhill for a weekend of hockey. With a schedule that was extremely friendly for both parents and players to enjoy the beautiful spring / summer conditions and a few games of hockey to top it off!

  The weekend started Friday night against the Langton Leafs. The Rams secured the win with a score of 7 - 1, with goals coming from Jake Keiffer, Luke Hogg (3), Alex Bondy, Matt Hogg and Brett Doney, assisting on the goals were Jarren Kerr (2), Bondy, M. Hogg, Gavin MacVicar(3). The secured a relaxing day of shopping and the beach before game 2 at 6pm on Saturday!
    Saturday nights alright for hockey...and the Rams held strong and stayed cool against a tough Wallaceburg Lakers team with a score of 3 - 0. Kurtis Snyders opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal, assisted by Branden Hotchkiss. Also contributing again L. Hogg & MacVicar with M. Hogg, Aidan Capell assisting. This gave the team a late morning start on Sunday for the 3rd game of the weekend. After the game players and parents enjoyed some fun at the bowling lanes for a bit of fun & laughter!
    11 am Sunday - Game 3 vs Tilbury Thunder! A win here puts the team in the Championship game! Win they did, with a score of 6 - 1. Goal scorers in this game J. Kerr (3), MacVicar(2) and Hotchkiss, backed up by David Orr (4), Darin Lauzon, Doney and both L & M Hogg. 
    With a score of 0 - 0 going into the third period this truly was a Championship game against the Port Stanley Sailors! The lone goal in the 2 - 1 final was another shorthanded goal for Snyders with 6 minutes remaining in the game! Great game & Great weekend boys!!
Both coaches and parents are extremely pleased with the great season this team had! Good luck to those moving on next year, we hope you continue to play hockey, and we hope to see all the others back!!
    Remember the banquet is April 20th - we hope everyone is able to attend!!
