Midget Rep Update
The Midget rep boys have been playing well, getting consistent goal scoring for all individuals along with goaltending to keep them in games.
First road game of the season saw the Midget Rep boys travel to Goderich to play there nemesis the Sailors. After 3 periods and some good hard work on the Rams behalf seen them come out with a 5-1 victory.
The next game saw Mildmay come to town on Oct 23 for what is traditionally a tough centre for us to play and even though the score didn't reflect it the Monarchs battled till the final buzzer sounded, final score Mt Forest 6 Mildmay 2.
The Reeves Cup was next on the agenda for the Midget Rep boys with the Durham Huskies respresenting the opposition for this year. The final score was 6-2 for Mt Forest.
On Sunday Oct 30 the Hanover Barons Midget squad travelled to Mt Forest for what would be an exciting game that woudn't be decided until the final 2 min of the game. After playing the first two periods tied 1-1 Hanover would break it open early in the third period with two quick goals to go ahead 3-1. The local boys didn't quit and by the end of the contest had come away with a hard fought 4-3 victory.
