Rams Strike First in OMHA Quarter Finals
On the 14th of February 2012, the Atom Reps started their best of five OMHA Quarter Finals Series against the BCH(Bayfield/Clinton/Hensall) Ice Dogs at home.

Those who brought their sweetheart to the Mount Forest Community Complex were treated to a great Rams effort.  From the first face off to the final buzzer, the Reps pressured the Ice Dogs and came away with Game 1 of the series.

The Rams outworked BCH hemming them into their own zone for most of the first 2 periods - but were unable to solve the Ice Dogs goalie.

A minute and a half into the 3rd period their hard work paid off with Eli McCook breaking through, burying a rebound with the assists going to Owen Troyer and Evan Dewar.  Less than 3 minutes later the same line connected again with Dewar banging in an Alex Iles shot with the additional assist going to Troyer.  Then Iles added to the two goal lead taking a pass from Brody Leblanc, cutting in and ripping a hard wrist shot into the bottom corner pushing the home side up 3-0.  As they had done all game the Rams kept coming and although they were unable to score they were able to preserve the shutout for Morgan Troyer.

Mount Forest now travels to Clinton on the 16th of February at 7pm for Game 2 and again travels to Clinton for Game 3 on February 18th at 5:15pm.

If necessary Game 4 will be back in Mount Forest on the 22nd of February at 7:45pm.
