WOAA PLAYOFFS
One win and a loss to start off the WOAA Playoffs.
The playoffs are a round robin format consisting of a home and away game against Listowel, West Grey and Bruce Peninsula, with the top team moving on to the finals.
The Mount Forest boys come out very strong in their first games against Listowel, exploding for 9 goals and only allowing 3. Everyone was at the top of their game, from solid goaltending and defence, to a strong offence which showing up on the score board.
The second game was against West Grey, with Mount Forest coming up short losing a very close 2-1 game. Mount Forest controlled most of the game but just couldn't beat the West Grey goalie, as he come up with some big saves. Down 2-0 with 2 minutes left in the game coach Lewis called a time out and pulled the goalie for the extra attacker. The boys were able to keep the pressure on West Grey and finally put the game within a goal with 1:32 remaining in the game. With the extra attacker still on the ice to try to take the game to overtime, Mount Forest had the pressure on but couldn't find a way to put the puck in the net!T
