Wow what a season!
Well, we had our last practice last night. We are leaving for Provincials tomorrow in Ottawa. Pretty exciting!

We are pretty proud of these girls. Just think, in the beginning we only had 9 skaters. The goal of this team was to make it to provincials at a "B" level. Well after hard work, lots of games, alot of practices we are going as a "BB" team. We have had alot help along the way.

I would like to thank Dale, he has been involved in minor hockey for 700 years. He's a great coach and has alot of knowledge to share. You can put that man in any arena in Ontario and he will be able to find someone he knows and he will be able to get a ride home! I love you man!

We have never had two goalies before. Thank goodness for their Dads' George and Al. I, personally have learned alot about goalies from both these men. Thank you!

The quiet one, Walter is always out on the ice, sharing his wisdom, yeah wisdom, in playing for the Swedish National team!!!! Why isn't he coaching? Thank you!

Then we have Jim, who is great with the girls and an excellent skater and coach. And by the way he did need oxygen last night! Thank you!

My boy Ian, (and his friends) still a Patriot Rookie, coming out and getting the girls to practice their shot, one on ones, puck getter and put away boy. Thank you!

Special thank you to Trish for keeping this team together, doing dryland training before games and practices. It takes alot of time and energy to do so and she has excelled at this task. And of course, all the other little things she does for the girls, I know they appreciate her. Trish has made these girls into little ladies and deserves alot of credit for doing so! Thank you!

Wendy the Gum Girl and Trainer. Where would we be without our gum before the game. Just one of those silly superstitions, that we believe in! Again thank you for your help with the girls!

Todd, our Parent Rep! The go to man, grievance settler, need a ride, what should I do guy. I appreciate the time and energy in getting ice (for drinks) games, and paperwork filled out on time. A good man to have on your team, Thank you!

Of course I have to thank the girls. They are all, truly dedicated to hockey. We didn't have many practices without missing anyone. They listened, they learned and we had fun too. Even on those early Sunday mornings practices. These girls are going to be leaders in our community and we are all proud of each and everyone of you.

Parents, Parents, Parents, Thank you! We have a great bunch of parents who all get along and support the team from early mornings practices to 5 tournaments and on and on. Alot of time and money...... but well worth the effort, we have a great team.

Our record of 52-5-2!!! Your goal- to get to Provincials. We are going! Lets show them what we have learned and whatever happens, happens! Have fun, enjoy Ottawa, team mates, friendship and please don't get kicked out of Wendy's, please.

I have to talk about Lindsay Donald who has been with me for the last few years, but couldn't this year do to the farm. He might not have been there but he was always texting me and showing up for games and still giving me advice. MFMH needs him to come out of retirement! Thanks!
