Back to Back Home games!!
Last weekend the Pee Wee C Girls had two home games against two very good teams, The Saugeen Shores Storm and The Waterloo Ravens!!

On Saturday Jan 4th the Rams played The Saugeen Shores Storm.  The first time these two teams played was on November 15th at the Plex and the Rams were defeated 5-0.  The Rams knew that they would have to play much better if they were going to avoid another loss to this solid team.  The Rams came out strong and moved the puck well.  It would be the Rams that would strike first.  Hanna Gerrie got her 11th goal of the season assisted by Jayde McRobb.  Saugeen Shores tried hard to get on the scoreboard in the first but with the Rams solid defense and great Goaltending the Rams were able to weather the Storm.  The Second period was full of back and forth action but neither team would give up a goal and the Rams went into the third up by one.  In the third the Rams took two penalty's and the Storm were able to capitalize on this 5 on 3 opportunity and tied the game.  The Storm kept coming once they got the tying goal and were able to get another to put themselves ahead for the first time in the game.  The Rams would not let up and continued to battle hard right down to the final seconds of the game.  With only 15 seconds left in the game and the goalie pulled the Rams were able to tie this game up.  Hanna would get her second of the game assisted by Morgan Flanagan and Aalia Gade.  This was a great game and the Rams did what they do best, played hard for the entire game.

On Sunday the Rams hosted the Waterloo Ravens for an exhibition game.  The last time these two teams played was at the Clearview tournament on Oct 25th and Waterloo won by a score of 2-1.  The Rams have improved a lot since the beginning of the season, but knew this was going to be a tough game against a good team.  In the first period the Rams got a early penalty in the first 2 minutes of play, and Waterloo took advantage of this and the Rams were down by one.  The Rams continued to create many chances in the frist but were unable to get anything past a solid Ravens Goalie.  The Second period saw both teams exchange many chances but it would be the Rams that would get on the scoreboard and tie the game.  Taylor Mclellan got her 9th Goal of the season assisted by Hanna Gerrie and Haven LeBlanc.  Into the Third period with the game tied both teams continued to move the puck well and create chances but neither goalie would surrender a goal.  In the dying seconds Waterloo would have one last chance on a breakaway, only to be shut down by the Rams Goalie.  Excellent Game!! Great Effort!!
