Year End Weekend for Novice Rep
This past weekend was the final wrap up for this team. The Rams finished their W.O.A.A. playoffs on Saturday and their Novice Rep tournament on Sunday.

On Saturday the Rams travelled to Goderich for game 3 of the W.O.A.A. McClure division consolation final. The team had suffered defeats of 3-0 and 3-1 heading in to game 3.The team was missing one player for this contest so the rest of the team knew they had to pull together and log extra ice time. The Rams would find the scoreboard first midway through the second to lead the game. Goderich was then able to knot the game 1-1 in the dying minutes of the second. The third period started all tied up but with just merely 30 seconds in to the 3rd Goderich was able to find the back of the net. Our team continued to play strong for the rest of the period but unfortunately could not beat the Goderich netminder. Although things did not work out the way all of us had hoped the team was gracious in defeat as they walked away with runner up medals. The Rams all put up a valiant effort in the series and should be proud of their hard work and sportsmanship.
Sunday was the teams year end tournament in Mount Forest. Their first game was against TCDMHA first thing at 8:00 am. The Rams got off to a quick start scoring 3 goals in the first period and never looked back. The team held on for a 6-2 victory. Game 2 our team was on the ice versus the Zurich Thunder. Our players would dominate this game from start to finish and ended up skating away with a resounding 9-0 victory. The Rams finished 1st in their pool which secured them a spot in the A final versus the Lucan Irish who were 1st in their pool. What a game it was from start to finish. It was a back and forth contest the whole way, when regulation time had expired the score was 3-3 which forced sudden death overtime. The overtime period saw both teams trading chances, with 50 seconds left Lucan was able to find the back of the net to claim the win.
This Mt. Forest Novice Rep squad can and should feel proud of the way they came together as a team in the final weeks of the season. They played their hearts out and I commend all players for a great season and the way that they represented the town of Mt.Forest.
Way to go RAMS!!!!!!!
