Rams win their 5th Game in a Row!!
The Atom LL#1 Team is playing some incredible hockey! After losing a close game to Listowel Black in Mount Forest, the Rams have gone on to win 5 in a row!
On Nov 30th the Rams hosted the undefeated Listowel Black team. The Rams started off slow and fell behind early. These Rams never give up and were able to pull back within a few but time ran out and they lost for the first time on Home Ice 6-4. The Rams learned that they had to play 3 solid periods of Hockey if they want to win.
The next game on Dec 5th the Rams showed everyone that they can play 3 full periods of Hockey. The Rams traveled to Howick and came out with a Excellent effort and won 11-2.
Next up for the Rams was another road game against the Drayton Defenders. The Defenders and the Rams battled hard for 3 periods but it would be the Rams that would win this game 3-0. James Sales would record his second shut out of the season.
On Dec 14th the Howick Hornets would come to Mount Forest and try and slow down these Rams. The Hornets would strike first and early to put them ahead, but the Rams know its 3 periods that make up a game. The Hornets would not score again and the Rams would win this one 7-1.
The Rams next game would be on Dec 18th in Hanover. The Rams played their first game of the season against this team on Oct 11th, and the Rams won it 3-0. This was a good test for the Rams, to see how much they have improved over the past two months. This team has really started to play well together and every player has improved and it showed, the Rams won 7-0.
Finally the last game before the Christmas break would be a Home game against the other Mount Forest Team. Each Mount Forest team has been playing very well this year and both only have one league loss against the Listowel Black team. Although most of the players all know each other and are friends this game was a battle and was a Great display of the talent that Mount Forest has on their Atom Local Teams. It was a Great game right down to the final seconds but the Atom LL#1 would win this game 3-2.
The Rams are really starting to play great hockey for 3 full periods and it is starting to pay off!! Congrats to the team for 5 wins in a Row!! Keep up the Great Work!!! Next is the Arthur Tournament on Dec 28th!!
