Rams drop regular-season finale

KEADY -- Familiar circumstances conspired against the peewee C Rams as
the Mount Forest girls made the trek to visit the Chatsworth Township
Rebels in their regular-season finale on Tuesday night.
The Rams clashed with the chippy Rebels, dealt with their bowling alley of a rink, and an even more formidable foe en route to a disappointing 4-0 loss.
"Everyone in attendance saw what happened. I will just leave it at that," said Rams assistant coach Christine R.
"But on the whole, we were really pleased with how hard our players battled and how they kept their tempers in check."
The Rams will quickly forget about that clunker and move on to matters within their control.
Alyssa V. was presented with the Hard Hat Award for her stellar work between the Rams' pipes, while atom call-up Lexi W. took the Super Cape after her formidable effort on the Mount Forest blueline.
The Rams would like to send a special shout-out to Mandi F. and Dean F., who subbed in for our missing coaches on Tuesday to complete Mount Forest's Mr. and Mrs. coaching brigade.
The Mount Forest girls reconvene on Wednesday night for a 7:45 p.m. practice in town before regrouping in time for tournament play in Goderich this weekend.
