YOUNG CANADA WEEK
Friday afternoon found the Rams in Goderich to take part in the 66th Annual Young Canada week sponsored by the Lions Club. Game 1 the opponent was the Blyth-Brussels squad and the Rams jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead. The lead held up until the 3rd period when the opposition scored 2 late goals to knot the score 2-2 final.
Sat morning the Dorchester team was our opponent. Almost a duplicate game as the first. The Rams carried a 3-1 lead into the 3rd only to see it evaporate like the previous game Final score 3-3.
After an enjoyable team meal at Boston Pizza the team returned to the arena and all members of the team took part in the CHUCK A PUCK contest. Unfortunately we had no winners.
5PM found the team suited up for the final round robin game. The BCH 2 team came out with fire in their eyes and the local squad could not match the fire power or passion of the attack.
With the Rams trailing 6-0 after 2 periods they managed a good 3rd period. The only goal of the 3rd period belonged to the opposition. Final score 7-0.
Sunday the team has a well deserved and then come Monday night they will travel to Clinton to take on the BCH 1 team for the WOAA Silver division champion.
Game 2 will be Tuesday Mar 24 7.30pm in Mt Forest.
