Clearview Christmas in the Valley
On Fri Dec 12 the Pee Wee girls LL traveled to Alliston for the Clearview Christmas in the Valley tournament to take on the Temiskaming Shores Canadian Tire. The game was close and it was a great team effort unfortunately we came up just a little short and lost 1-0. Our player of the game was Holly who accomplished an unusual feat and stayed out of the penalty box or as we call it Holly's office.
On Saturday we were up against the Kitchener Warriors the girls came out ready to roll we were up 3-0 after the 1st period thanks to Taryn's 3 goals. MacKanzie's timely saves in net helped shut down Kitchener for a 5-4 win. Our player of the game was Brianna who played an all round aggressive game and not backing down from the other team.
Our 2nd game on Saturday was against the Clearview IceCats and kept the momentum going racking up a 4-2 win thanks to the line of Taryn, Sage and Emily.
Our player of the game was Haven who was very steady on defense and cleared away many pucks from the defensive zone.
Unfortunately even though we were one of 3 teams tied for first we did not advance based on goal differential. The players were a little disappointed but they know this the best the team has played all year and hopefully we keep it going through the rest of the regular season.
