Weekend Sweep
The Peewee girls had a busy weekend with 1 game Saturday and a double header on Sunday and a crazy Christmas lunch with this many girls all together!!
Game 1 on Saturday vs. Cambridge was a close game with Chloe scoring on a breakaway part way through the game and with that the girls tightened up defensively and played to a 1-0 win but they had to really work to preserve the W.
Game 1 of the double header Sunday and the girls travelled to play Kitchener and it was another close game and Brianna stood tall in net and the girls came away with a 2-1 win with Tori scoring first with assists to Chaise and Chloe, 2nd goal was Chaise from Lexi W and Abby. With that the girls had won the first game of the double header, in between games the team had its Christmas lunch and know its time to see if there is any gas left in the tanks after a big feed of Swiss Chalet chicken .
Woolwich is up next fresh and ready for us and they came out strong knowing we could be a bit weary after playing the earlier in the day and this game was very tight again as our girls seem to just love 1 goal games for some reason. But with 3:36 left to play and a goal mouth scramble Chaise tucks it away from Tori for the game winner and a weekend sweep. With that the Rams sit atop of the LLFHL West division with 30 points but every game has been close this year with only 1 or 2 goal spreads all season.
