Rams fall short to Chatsworth
By Christine Rivet
The Mount Forest Rams came up short in a 3-0 home-ice loss to the Chatsworth Rebels in Western Ontario Athletic Association play on Saturday.

In what was a frustrating affair for the players and coaches, the Mount Forest girls just couldn’t seem to find their mojo.

Despite some solid work from the Rams’ back end and some solid saves from goalie Alyssa V., the hosts didn’t put much pressure on the Chatsworth blue line or goaltending.

“We know the girls can keep up with the best teams in the league. We’ve seen it with our own eyes,” Rams coach Bill Walker said

“Hats off to Chatsworth. They proved they are a very good team again and seem to bring out the worst in us.”

The girls will take Sunday off to regroup and then hit the ice again for an 8 p.m. practice at the Mount Forest Sport Complex on Monday.

The Rams will shake out the cobwebs in time for their Silver Stick weekend tournament in Saugeen Shores. They open against Owen Sound on Friday at 9:45 a.m. in Southampton.
