OWHA Bronze Medallists 2016
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR MIDGET B GIRLS!!

You are AWESOME!!! All your hard work, perseverance have paid off!!

We also thank our wonderful coaches and support staff for their dedication to the task at hand!
Girls you were a JOY to watch and kept us on are feet constantly.

With a few tears we say goodbye to Jessalyn, Miranda and Brooke-Lynn as their midget years have come to an end.

The Mount Forest Midget Rams Girls Hockey team went to Provincials this weekend in Mississauga with a 22-14-15 team record.
After defeating The Grand River Mustangs, Mount Forest along with twenty-three others teams from across Ontario qualified to compete in the Midget 'B' Division.

Mount Forest's first game was a 3-1 victory over Toronto Leaside. They went on to defeat the Hearst Ice Cats 1-0 in game two.  Game three had the Rams on top with a 2-1 win against the Brockville Angels.
Mount Forest finished first in their pool after round robin play and ranked 3rd overall to earn a spot in the quarter finals.  Mount forest wasn't surprised to see a strong South Huron team at Provincials.  These two teams have played six times this season with Mount Forest coming out on top only once.
South Huron also won International Silver Stick and the Lower Lakes Championship Weekend so the girls knew it would take everything they had to secure a win and that's exactly what they did!
The Rams shocked the Sabres with a 3-0 victory.

The semi-finals was a battle on the "Mounts" with the Mount Forest Rams playing the Mount Brydges Cougars.  A power play goal was all it took for the Cougars to earn a 1-0 win, leaving the Rams to battle for Bronze.  With only a team of ten skaters and playing their sixth game of the Weekend the Rams were tired but determined.

Their determination, hard work and perseverance payed off as the buzzer ended the game and they were ahead 3-1, earning them a well deserved Bronze Medal.
Playing some of their best hockey of the season, these young ladies left it all on the ice and should be proud of what they accomplished as a team. Congratulations!
