The Novice Rams LL team have  been making huge strides in their development this season and it all paid off on a stormy day in Teeswater! The Rams took no prisoners and came to play and they didn't let the fans down with 3 terrific games.

Game 1 vs BCH – 3/0 win for the Rams.  Owen Harris-Fidler got the Rams on the board first from Rowen Oakes and Brooke McRobb.  Second goal of the game again from Harris-Fidler with a nifty deke, top corner on the backhand.  To complete the hat-trick, Owen Harris-Fidler from Owen Radojcin and Brooke McRobb.  That put the Novice team onto the “A” side.  The tournament now turns into sudden death – winner keeps playing, loser goes home.  Game MVP Owen Fidler-Harris with the Hat trick.

Game 2 vs the Ripley Wolves – 4/1 win for the Rams – Goal 1 scored by Troy Arpa from Mason Cooper & Bella VanTol.  2nd goal from Arpa and assisted by Brooke McRobb.  3rd goal from Owen Harris-Fidler assists going to Rowen Oakes & Brooke McRobb. Goal #4 going to Bella VanTol from Lauren Aitken & Mason Cooper and the Rams move onto the finals against Wingham. Game MVP Brooke McRobb shades of Eric Karlson on defense.

Championship Game vs Wingham – This was a barn burner as both teams were very evenly matched, except in the size department where Wingham was much bigger than our Mount Forest squad.  First goal of the game was from Troy Arpa who beat the goalie with a nice wrister. Wingham would not back down and stormed back with 2 goals to put the Rams down by one.  With a capacity crowd chanting “Go Rams Go”, defenseman Brooke McRobb picks up the puck behind her own net and goes end to end to tie the game at 2.  With 5 minutes left in the 3rd and a very hotly contested game, Lauren “Lorney” Aitken makes a beauty rush with Rowen Oakes tucking away the rebound to put the Rams up 3/2.   This would be it for scoring and the Rams would come home with the Gold medals!  Eric Chambers was solid between the pipes all tournament long to keep the Rams on top. Game MVP Troy Arpa for his never quit attitude and goal scoring ability.

The defense of this team is solid with great contributions from Evan Shaw, Rachel Bray , Lauren "Lorney" Aitken & Brooke McRobb.

The Forward core of Troy Arpa, Owen Radojcin, Mason Cooper, Bella Vantol, Rowen Oakes, Maddy Scott, Owen Fidler-Harris, Kaden Fraser, where all outstanding all weekend and if not for a full team effort the results would not be there. Great job kids you earned it!
