Internaltional Silver Stick Champs
The Pee Wee girls headed to Saugeen Shores this past weekend to take part in the Silver Stick Tournament and came away Victorious after some very hard fought games. That's 4 tournament wins for these girls hopefully they can keep it going into the playoffs!

Game #1 Friday vs Kincardine Kinucks:

The girls wanted to set the tone for the weekend and came out flying to an 8/0 win.

Game #2 Friday vs  Lucan Irish who took a whopping 22 minutes in penalties but the Rams did not back down and kept their feet moving en route to a 2/0 win.

Game #3 vs Keene Wolverines on Saturday morning.  The girls knew if they won this game it would put them first in their pool and would give them an opportunity to play in the semi’s later that day.  They powered through with a 7/0 win over the Wolverines.

This would put the Rams in first place in Pool B which meant they would have to play the 2nd place team in Pool A in the semi finals.

Game #4 - The girls would come up against the home town Saugeen Shores crew and they wanted it bad – especially at their own tournament.  This was a tightly contested game but the Rams were able to come away with a 3/0 victory to put them into the finals of the International Silver Stick on Sunday.

Championship Sunday:

The Rams would face the Walkerton Capitals, which always proves to be a good match-up.  2 1/2 minutes into the first Chaise McRobb would fly down the wing and blow one past the goalie making it 1/0 Rams.  Start of the 2nd period, the always hard working Lexi Rice with her nose to the grindstone, tucks one in the corner past the goalie – 2/0 Rams.  Then later in the 2nd off a Tori VanTol  rush, Kate Crispin would grab the rebound and feed Bailey Hodgins for the 3rd goal of the game.   The Walkerton team had the Rams on their heals for much of the 3rd but the Rams would weather the storm and go on to claim the Championship and the coveted “Silver Stick”.  The defensive core of Jordy Storey, Lexi Walker, Jayme Boyd & Haven Tangney and goalie Brianna Gordon had an outstanding weekend all around, allowing no goals against all tournament.  The forward core of Chaise McRobb, Lexi Rice, Tori VanTol, Sydney Plagenz, Brynne Tangney, Bailey Hodgins, Kate Crispin & Alyssa Aitken were also outstanding with 23 goals scored in 5 games.

This Peewee team has been on a roll this season, with tournament wins at the Mitchell Meteors, Mount Forest Girls Classic, B.A.D Girls and now the International Silver Stick.

The Mount Forest Rams Girls Hockey Association had an outstanding weekend overall with the Atom C girls taking silver medals home following a 2/1 overtime loss to Ottawa Valley and the Bantam C girls also claimed Silver following a 1/0 loss to South Bruce.
