Hockey+Fun+Hockey= a great weekend
Friday morning found the Rams taking to the ice in Chippawa outside of Niagara Falls to play the London Hawks. The long drive and an early morning game was not kind to the Rams. The team squandered a couple of early chances in the game. But after that it was all London. Final 6-0.
After a fun team lunch and a little rest it was back to the ice at the Gale Center in Niagara Falls. The opponent was the St Mary's Majors. The Rams started a little slow but once they found their stride they scored and scored and scored all the way to a final score of 8-2.
Saturday morning found the Rams back on the ice to play Oak Ridges. The players knew they needed another big win to try and advance to Sunday. The Rams rose to occasion with some great passing and team work. Final score was 8-1. Even after these 2 lopsided victories it was still not enough to advance to Sunday.
All and all a great weekend.
Now it is back to finish up the league playoffs against Lucknow. Game 1 is Wednesday in Lucknow at 7pm. Game 2 is in Mount Forest on Sunday at 12pm. Game 3 if necessary will be in Mount Forest Tuesday night at 6.30pm.
