U15B - OWHL Southern League Champions!
The Mount Forest Rams U15B team had their biggest win of the year this past Saturday defeating the Stoney Creek Sabres at the 2022/23 OWHA League Championships and brought home the GOLD!
The U15B Rams girls hockey team completed the final phase of the 2022/23 League Playoffs on Saturday, April 1st with a 1 to 0 win which was earned in shootout fashion. The Stoney Creek Sabres came out hard and fast during the first period and reminded the the Rams girls that they needed to step up their game. Turning the table in the second period, the girls added much needed pressure in the offensive zone and out shot their opponents 10 to 3 in that frame. With friends and family cheering the girls on, the third period turned into a heavy-weight bout with both teams trading scoring chances at each end. Regulation time and overtime was not enough to determine a winner, which resulted in moving to a 3 player shootout. The goaltending from both teams was phenomenal but the Rams were able to put one past and that was enough to earn the top prize. Congratulations to you all! Your friends and family are extremely proud of all your hard work this season. Good luck at PROVINCIALS!
