Rams get stung by the Hornets
A home game loss was delivered to the U-15 boys tonight despite a valiant effort from both offensive and defense lines.

The Howick Hornets came out strong, scoring within the first minute of the game and again in less than another minute. Rams goalie #30 Pryce L. shook off the two quick goals and kept Howick from scoring again in the first period. Mount Forest was able to score their own two quick goals at 4:52 and 4:06. The first unassisted by #16 Madden B., and the second, a power play goal from #7 Liam W., assisted by #14 Griffin Y. and #15 Nolan D.

The Rams were unable to pop one in the net during the second period, but it didn't diminish the effort put in by the boys to apply pressure and make great passes, which led to some good scoring chances.  The Hornets found their way pass the wall of defense the Rams put up to score two more goals in the second period.

The third period was riddled with penalties for both teams, as coaches mixed lines and sent out penalty kill and power play teams to try to best the opponent. Unfortunately, for the Rams, they came out on the underside of the numbers game losing 4-2. The Hornets scored with 37 seconds left in the game despite Goalie #30 Pryce L's. fantastic acrobatic saves. The sting of the loss must hurt, but the the boys are sure to go back to the drawing board at their practice this week.
