Heavey Duty Rescue - RAMS Style
The U-15 House League Rams rescued their playoff contention tonight and a driver and car from the ditch they slid down into. What a night!

The Rams started their March Break with a "must win to stay in" game this evening against the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders, in Blythe, and came home with the 3-1 victory. The win keeps their playoff hopes alive and sees the gentlemen going into a string of games on a positive note. After leaving the arena, some team members came upon a vehicle in the ditch. In true Rams fashion, everyone available pooled together resources and skill to work the man and his vehicle out and back onto the road. Everyone was safe and the driver was very grateful, wishing the Rams the best of fortune in their playoffs.
Action on the ice saw the Rams moving the puck and their bodies well. Transitional play was smooth and their speed and passes were back. The two defence squads, stood tall and strong and kept shots on goalie #1 Silas S. to a minimum. Special thanks to #88 Owen R., stepping into a defensive role, in a time of need. Ram's forward lines were able to cut down on time and space placing pressure on the Crusaders in the neutral zone. #14 Griffen Y. assisted on #77 Mason C.'s game opening goal at 3:15 in the first period. The Crusaders chanced upon a goal in response, but that would be their only one, as Silas S. held the gates shut thereafter.
#16 Madden B. scored the second period's lone goal unassisted. At 11:07 in the third, #14 Griffen Y. tallied another assist, this time on #18 Troy A.'s goal to end the scoring.
The two teams face off again tomorrow in Mount Forest. Hopefully the hometown pride shows strong both on and off the ice!
