Rams Dominate on Home Ice
Submitted By Scott Weber on Sunday, November 22, 2009
The Rams hosted the Drayton Defenders and dominated the game.  The boys used this game to work on some great passing plays and polish some skills.

Troy Weber took off right from the face off to take a shot on net, but was denied.
Riley Moore used his long strides to beat the Defenders forwards back to our end to defuse their scoring opportunity.
Warren Zeinstra opened the scoring when he shot from inside our blue line, banked the puck off the boards, the Defender's goalie tried to play the puck and the puck went into the net.
Drayton headed to the penalty box and the Rams took advantage of the extra man.  Benn Zettler passed to Sully Fisher to score.
Jacob Reeves passed the puck across the crease to Cory Lewis for a shot and Nole Black secured the deal when he hammered in the rebound.
Luke Cowen scores as it went off the goalies stick and deflected in.
Dylan Reeves banked the puck up the boards to a waiting Alex Kieffer who carried the puck and banked it off the boards to Troy Weber who lifted the puck in the top shelf.
With 21.5 seconds left in the 1st period Drayton scores as the puck deflected off of Kroes' stick and in.  It was a 5-1 game headed into the 2nd.
10 seconds into the 2nd, Drayton shot, Kroes stopped the initial shot but the Defenders lifted in the rebound.
Warren Zeinstra passed to Troy Weber, who passed the puck up to Alex Kieffer, who then tipped the puck back to Weber, who shot and Kieffer scored on the rebound.
Benn Zettler shot and the Defenders cager put the rebound out front for Sully Fisher to come rushing in to score.
Dylan Reeves rung the post after he walked all the way from the Rams end to the Defenders end.
Kroes had a big save as he stopped the Defenders breakaway.
The Defenders defenceman will be sorry he got in the way of the puck after Carsten Cottingham ripped one from the blue line, the defenceman was quick to leave the ice after he blocked the shot.
Nole Black wove through traffic to score a goal.
Jacob Reeves tried to follow suit but hit the post.
Kroes came up big as he gobbled up the puck with a big glove save.
Warren Zeinstra fell as he was skating backwards into the Rams end but was still able to put the puck out of harms way with his stick as he reached from his back to poke it away.
Brady Reeves-Coburn used his moves to deke through the Defenders team to fire one in the hole.
Troy Weber caught a timely pass from Luke Cowen who passed to Coburn to lift it in the top corner.
With 1 second left on the clock Luke Cowen gets the final goal of the game.
The boys would like to thank Brad Reeves for helping on the bench for this game.
This group of boys play so well together.  It is a great passing team and when they are on the ice they are looking for each other to set each other up and play as a team.  Way to go boys!
