Rams have strong showing in Dorchester Tournament

Mount Forest Rams travelled to Dorchester on the 28th and 29th of December to take part in a Tyke Select Tournament.
The tournament began with a win for Mount Forest beating Centre Wellington Fusion II 3-1. Scoring all three goals was Brody L. - a natural hat trick!
The Rams then dropped the following two games to St. Thomas Green and Centre Wellington Fusion I. Accounting for the goals in those games were Brody L. assisted by Patrick B. and Dylan D. assisted by Brayden D. and Ashton H.
The fourth game saw Mount Forest back to their winning ways when they took on St. Thomas White. The Rams came out strong with 4 goals in the first period and 3 more in the second. Goals were scored by - Brody L.(2), Brayden D.(2), Ashton H.(1), Luke E.(1) and Brent H.(1). Drawing assists were - Owen T., Owen M., Owen W., Eric M., Jake K. and Brody L. The stonewall brothers - Jacksen M. and Tyler M. got the shut out. With the win it put Mount Forest in the Consolation Finals against the Chatham Maroons.
The Rams again started quickly with Owen T. putting Mount Forest up 1-0 in the first.
The 2nd period was even with neither team being able to score.
Early in the 3rd Chatham drew even with the Rams - then with just over two minutes to play Chatham took the lead 2-1. Mount Forest did not give in and with the goalie pulled - Luke E. and Ashton H. got the puck to Brody L. sending him in on a breakaway and Brody made no mistake firing the puck past the Chatham netminder tieing the game 2-2 with only two seconds left, sending the game into overtime.
However, early in the overtime Chatham ended the well played game making the final 3-2.
