WGMHA CONSOLATION CHAMPIONS
The Rams travelled to Ayton on Sunday to do battle in the WGMHA LL tournament. The team defeated Grand Valley 4-2 in the first game, Everett Kerr had an excellent game scoring 2 goals. Game 2 saw the boys lose 3-0 to a very good Flesherton team.
The Rams gained entry into the Consolation Championship due to fact that they had less penalty minutes than the host West Grey team. Both teams ended the round robin with a minus 1.
Game 3 saw the Rams face off against the Grand Valley team that they had previously defeated.
A very tough competitive game was decided by a lone goal scored on a beautiful pass from Spencer MacArthur to Joey Ferguson.
It took excellent goal tending by the duo of Ethan Smart and Alias Taylor to secure the win. Alias Taylor was granted the player of the game. Great tournament boys.
