The bantam girls HL team played 3 games in 3 days this weekend and even though they weren't able to pull out a win this weekend this team is coming together very quickly. Friday nights game started out three events for the Reeves Cup. Hardest shot, fastest skater and shot accuracy. The girls won all 3 events against South Bruce and tied them in the game 0-0. Sandra earned her first shutout of the season. On Saturday the girls took on Kincardine but the game was in Tiverton. The score ended up in a 2-2 tie and the girls recorded the first 2 goals of the season. Evelyn scored both goals with Courtney getting the games only assist on the second goal.
The 3rd game came at home on Sunday afternoon against a very skilled team from Orangeville. This was an exhibition game and the girls held in there own and played a lot better than then the 8-2 final score would seem. It was a close game through 2 periods, the girls were only down by a 3-2 score. The girls seemed to be getting a little tired in the 3rd period and Orangeville took full advantage. We will get them next time. Eveyln got her 3rd goal of the season and Tate netted her first. Courtney got the assist on Tate's goal. Great weekend girls and keep your heads held high. If you continue to work hard as a team, good things are going to happen.
