The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is pleased to announce the launch of a new training module for team officials, to support trans-inclusive hockey in Ontario, Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity and Gender Expression Training.
There are two modules which will educate team officials on this topic. Completion of these modules will be required in order to be placed on a roster.
The two modules take approximately 2 hours in total to complete (1 hour per module). There is no cost associated to this training.
Once the two modules are completed, it will show up in your eHockey account- same goes for the Respect In Sport Activity Leader course (formerly Speak Out program). These courses are currently only required to be taken once, throughout your hockey coaching career.
We will be able to monitor who has completed this course in the same manner as the Respect in Sports Course. And will not be able to roster any individual who has not yet completed these courses.
