Midget Rep, U18, 2010/2011 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

It was a busy weekend in Aylmer with 4 of the 5 Mount Forest Rep Rams teams playing in the annual Aylmer Flames Tournament. With it being a points earned per period system, each team had to want to win every period to get chance for the championship.

Hanover travelled to Mount Forest on Wednesday night for game 2 in the series. Hanover pulled ahead 1-0 in the first period, with goalies at both ends making key saves. The Rams and the Barons traded chances throughout the second and third period with the game ending the same way it did at the end of the first period 1-0. Hanover is back for game 3 on Wednesday Jan. 24th at 915pm. See you there!!

The Mount Forest Rams headed to the new P&H Centre in Hanover on Sunday night for their first game in a best 3 out of 5 series with Hanover. This was a goalies battle with keepers at both ends making some excellent saves. After two periods our Rams were down 1-0 only to come back early in the third to tie it up 1-1. Shortly there after Hanover popped another in with a goal off the face off for a 2-1 Hanover . With the 3rd period coming closer to an end Mount Forest tied it up once again 2-2. 

The Mount Forest Midget Rams travelled to Listowel for their final regular season game. In a tight physical match the score was 1-0 for Listowel going into the third period when Justin Byers took a pass in the slot to tie it 1-1. Later in the period Alex Bridgwater set up Ian Bridgwater for a one timer in the slot to put Mount Forest up 2-1. With minutes remaining Mount Forest kept the pressure on to take the win with a final of 2-1. On Wednesday night The Midget Rams played host to the Durham Huskies in an exhibition tilt. Ian Bridgwater led the way wit a hat trick, on a line with Liam Francis and Burke Cameron the threesome came out of the game with 11 points in total in a 6-3 win over the Huskies. Justin Crawford added a bullet shot for a goal and Peter McLean had an assist on a Bridgwater goal. Rams travel to Listowel Thursday night.
