RAMS BATTLE OUT GAME 1 WIN!
The Mount Forest Rams headed to the new P&H Centre in Hanover on Sunday night for their first game in a best 3 out of 5 series with Hanover. This was a goalies battle with keepers at both ends making some excellent saves. After two periods our Rams were down 1-0 only to come back early in the third to tie it up 1-1. Shortly there after Hanover popped another in with a goal off the face off for a 2-1 Hanover . With the 3rd period coming closer to an end Mount Forest tied it up once again 2-2.
Brad Cormack kept the puck out for the rest of regulation to force a sudden death overtime period. With Mount Forest keeping the pressure on Hanover in the overtime frame Justin Byers picked up a loose puck in the nuetral zone and streaked in to put the overtime winner in with about 2 minutes left. Next game Wednesday night 9pm in Mount Forest.
