Midget Rep, U18, 2015-2016 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

After blowing a 4-3 lead late in the third period in Ayton against the West Grey Warriors  a couple of weeks ago. The Rams were not about to make the same mistake on Sunday night. With almost a full compliment of players the Rams started the game with 3 quick goals. West Grey responded with a goal to make it a 3-1 lead. The Rams were not to be denied as the added 2 more goals. With good puck control and good team discipline (seldom seen this season) the Rams coasted to a convincing 5-1 victory.

After 3 losses the Midgets finally got on the winning side of the score board. Friday night the Rams played Walkerton in the Reeves Challenge Cup. The game was always close with the lead changing several times during the contest. The Rams scored a shorthanded goal to seal the victory in the final minutes of the game. It was good to see the team starting to buy into a "different approach" to the game than they are used to. Next up Sunday night in Teeswater 8PM.

After a month of practicing, the boys are more than ready to play some real games. Thursday night the team will travel to Kincardine for an 8.30pm game.

I would like to thank all the players who tried out for the Rep team. There have been some really tough choices. Sunday night after practice a list will be handed out with our selections. To the players selected for LL we wish you a fun and successful season. To the players selected for the Rep team congratulations. The HARD WORK has just begun!!!!!!!

The team has been working out the kinks after a summer away from the rink. The first test will be Thursday night in Palmerston at 8pm.
