If you out scored your opponents 22- 11 in 8 games you would think you should win. But unfortunately this is not the case. Losing 3 games by a measly one goal per game was enough to do in the Rams. The team ended 3rd in a four team round robin. This ends the season for the WOAA. Ending the season with a 16-12-4 record. Up next the team will travel to Niagara Falls for a wrap up tournament.  

The Rams played Central Huron in a back to back series of games this weekend. Saturday at home the Rams won a hard fought 3-0 victory. On Sunday the team traveled to Milverton for the rematch. Another tight fast game ensued. The first period ended 0-0. In the second the Rams scored twice. During the intermission the coaches reminded the players that the next goal in the game would be very important. With that in mind the Rams scored early in the third and then coasted to a 5-0 victory.

The scheduling meeting was held in Wingham on Tuesday night despite the inclement weather. Road conditions were not really that bad but boy did it rain on the way home.

The regular season came to an end on Saturday. The Rams defeated West Grey #2 by the slimmest of margins 2-1 with the winning goal scored with 6 minutes left. After getting the lead the Rams got into penalty trouble and had to kill 3 penalties in the last 5 minutes to secure the win. The previous Sat was almost the same script with the visitors being West Grey #1 the Rams scored late in the game to eke out a 3-2 victory. Tuesday night is the playoff scheduling meeting stay tuned for the schedule. Come out and see some exciting playoff action. 

Unfortunately our game in Hanover has been cancelled due to lack of players for the Hanover team. Next game is Feb 4 in Mount Forest 3.30pm. last game of the schedule. Playoff scheduling meeting is Feb 7 in Wingham. Playoff games will start immediately.
