PEEWEE GIRLS HL, U13, 2017-2018 (Mt Forest Minor Hockey Association)

There will be a parent meeting before practice on Thursday March 1st to explain the Spring Tryout process.  This will be combined with the Novice/Atom girls parents in one of the dressing rooms.  

What can I say? We made it all the way to a double overtime in the semi finals against a very strong Mitchell team. I'm so proud of how hard all the girls worked this weekend. We were just a lucky bounce away from the finals. We started the weekend slowly with a loss to Grand River. Then quickly rebounded with a grand effort to tie a good Kitchener team. This morning the girls showed up ready to play and gave Walkerton more then they could handle and earned a spot in the semis. I want to thank all the girls for their best effort today. The girls put together a strong team effort to get a 1-0 win in Kincardine today. The defence played hard and moved the puck really nice. The forwards back checked hard and put a lot of pressure Kincardine's D. Our goalie played a really strong game resulting in a much earned shut out. Good work young ladies!!! 

The girls battled hard today against a much improved Saugeen Shores team to get a 2-0 win. This game showed us that we can't take any the teams in are league lightly. Every team is working hard and improving. We need to continue doing the things we do good, good and work on our weaknesses. We have another big game tomorrow so lets be ready and focused to play. 

Great first weekend of hockey girls!! The girls played really hard, Friday night in Walkerton, but we didn't get the bounces to go are way. But in true RAMS style the girls battled and and won there first game of the year, Saturday morning in Durham. Good work girls!!!
