Welcome to the U18 Tier 1 Girls Mount Forest Rams Tryouts!
The Tier 1 tryouts will consist of 7 Ice Times.
Apr 24 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm Harriston and Minto Community Complex
Apr 25 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm Harriston and Minto Community Complex
Apr 26 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Harriston and Minto Community Complex
Apr 27 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Harriston and Minto Community Complex
May 1 7:15 pm Game vs Kincardine Lucknow and District Sports Complex
May 2 8:00 pm Game vs Huron Heat Seaforth and District Community Centre
May 11 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm Harriston and Minto Community Complex
Please check in at the Registration Table upon arrival to the arena. Players are required to have their own practice jersey. Players will be given pinnies at the registration table to be worn during tryouts and returned after each tryout. Permission to Skate forms are required for Players trying out from another centre.
This years tryouts will consist of a variety of drills, scrimmages and games. The players will be evaluated on their ability in several different hockey skills, although I will also take into account attitude, effort, and competitiveness. All players will get a minimum of 2 tryout skates before releases.
This years U18 Tier 1 team will emphasize on Skill Development and System Orientated Play. In addition to the regular schedule we will also compete in Exhibition games and several Tournaments throughout the season. The Athletes will participate in physical training and additional ice time to improve their overall conditioning and skills.
The team will make use of video review as well as white board sessions to help the players improve their game.
The primary focus is on performance, sportsmanship and competitive play.
