Rams Hang On In Tight Game

The rams were playing at home against the Walkerton Hawks on Nov 14 09 looking to keep there home winning streak alive as they play the hawks for the second time this season. The boys new this was going to be a good game compared to a few of there previous opponents.
The boys wasted no time getting on the board in this game as they scored the games opening goal at the 14:18 mark of first period. The goal was scored by Brandon Kopp and assisted by Brock Doney and Curtis Zippel.The boys then jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a goal by Brad Corley assisted by Cody Mccracken. The boys would give up a goal late in the period to lead 2-1 at the end of one period of play.
The boys would add another early tally in the second period of play goal scored by Curtis Zippel assited by Brad Corley. The boys would then just tighten there defensive game up and play protective style of hockey for the rest of the period killing all penalties that were thrown at them and came out of the period with a 3-1 lead.
Knowing there opponent they knew the game wasn't over until the last buzzer sounded as the hawks got an early goal of there own in the third period to cut the mount forest lead to 3-2 the boys then with held the pressure of some powerplays from the hawks and managed to put the game away with a late goal in the third the goal was scored by Cody Mccracken assited by Matt Gerrie. The boys battled to the end like they knew they were going to have to and they came out on top with another home win coming with a score of 4-2 good effort boys.
