Slow Start Burns Midgets Again
Submitted By Brock Doney on Saturday, November 21, 2009
The Midget LL Rams travel to Walkerton to play the hawks as they tried to take the season series from both local Walkerton teams. The boys also knew it wasnt going to be easy trying to do it in Walkerton.

The boys were playing there 3rd game in 4 day and it showed early in this hockey game as they came out flat footed as they gave up the games opening goal just 32 seconds into the game. This was not the start the boys were looking for as they gave up another quick goal at the 13:06 mark of the period. That was the scoring for the first period but the boys just couldn't get there game going in that first period and the score showed it as they trailed 2 nothing.

The Rams started the second a little bit better and as they scored there first of the night to cut the hawks lead in half goal scored by Brock Doney assisted by Curtis Zippel and Brandon Kopp. Not long after that though the hawks replied with another goal to make it a 2 goal game again the rams didn't give up though as they continued to battle and potted a goal just over a minute later goal scored By Tyler Kirkpatrick assited by Brandon Kopp. The boys would actually rally to tie the game on a goal by Justin Byers assited by Scott Donald. The rams would actually take a lead in the second period  on a goal by Brandon Kopp the goal was unassisted. The rams lead didn't last long as they gave up 2 late goals to go into the dressing room trailing by a goal although a good hard fought second period by the boys they lost a key player in Spencer Shaw as he Broke his Wrist.

The boys fought hard in the third as well as they just came up a little bit short as the hawks added a late goal to seal the deal in this one and they would win the game by a score of 6-4.The Rams were but by there slow start in this game as they just fell short but there biggest concern was the Wrist of Spencer Shaw as they were already starting to be a depleted line up as they had some injuries and suspensions for this game.
