BCH Tyke Tournament "B" Champions
The Mount Forest Rams Tyke team participated in the BCH Tyke Tournament on Saturday, January 17th. It was the Rams first tournament of the year and they certainly came to play. They had a very successful day outscoring their opponents 21 to 8.

They started their day with 2 goals, within the first 3 minutes of game one against Lucan. Once their opponents settled in, they turned into one of the toughest teams the Tykes have seen all year. They fought hard but could not penetrate a strong defensive performance by the Lucan team. The Rams made their way to the "B" side of the tournament bracket, determined to play as many games as they could for the rest of the day.

Their game two opponent was a team from Strathroy. The Rams were determined to bounce back from game one and earned themselves a spot in the "B" Finals. The team had scoring from 6 different players and a much stronger defensive performance.

The final game was played late afternoon against the local BCH team. The stands were full of local supporters, but it did not take long for the Rams to ignite the support from their own fans. Cold and tired from a long day of hockey, the team came out with their strongest performance winning the final game by scoring 6 goals and allowing 0. The team continued to skate hard, pass the puck and support their goaltender, earning the shutout and the win.

Congratulations to the Tyke Rams for a fantastic day. Your coaches and families are very proud of you all!!
