Atom Reps Fighting Hard!
Submitted By Kevin Rice on Mon 03 23, 15
The Mount Forest Atom Rams made the trip east to Madoc this past weekend to face Centre Hastings in the CC All Ontario Finals. It seemed everyone in Madoc was out for the game, including the area's MPP, Mayor and Reeve for their opening ceremonies.

The boys were ready to get down to playing hockey, and the first two periods of Saturday's game was back and forth between the two teams.
Mount Forest went into the third period trailing 2-1.  However, whether it was Mount Forest nerves, the long drive or a fired up Centre Hastings team, the third period was all about the home town team. By the end of the game, the final score was a difficult 9-1 in favour of Centre Hastings.
After the game, it was time for some team building and regrouping. Sunday brought a refreshing Mount Forest team to Madoc, looking for a win to end this series. Centre Hastings got up two goals by the second period, but the Rams stuck with it, and kept working hard. Unfortunately, we would not be able to put one by the Centre Hastings' goalie on this day, and the game end at 2-0 loss.
Although the weekend didn't go as the Rams had hoped, the boys came home with their heads held high, and should be proud of their fair play and renewed fight they found Sunday after their toughest loss this season.

Let's get out and support the Mount Forest Rams at home on Sunday March 29 at 1:00 when the Atoms aim to win this All Ontario finals series.
