Novice/Tyke teams

For the 2017-18 season, Mount Forest Minor Hockey will be running the following teams in the Novice/Tyke age groups; Novice Rep, Novice LL, Novice Girls Rep and Tyke. 


It has been decided to run a trial Novice Girls Rep team this season now that numbers may allow it. 
The way the tryout process will be held is as follows; 
Tyke aged players are allowed to try out for Novice Rep and Novice Girls Rep, along with the Novice aged players. 
The Tyke players who wish to do so, need to be reminded that if successful in making the team, the full Novice fee will be applied to the player. Players must be paid in full in order to be rostered to their team.
If your child does not make the Rep team they are trying out for, they must return to their registered level. 

For example;
If you are a Tyke aged girl and want to tryout for Novice Rep or Novice Girls Rep, and you do not make the team, you will return to the Tyke program. 

If you are a Novice aged girl and you wish to tryout for Novice Rep or Novice Girls Rep, and you do not make the team, you will return to the Novice LL team. 

If you are a Novice aged boy and you wish to tryout for Novice Rep, and do not make it, you will be playing Novice LL. 
If you are a Tyke aged boy and you wish to tryout for Novice Rep, and do not make it, you will return to the Tyke program.

We will have a representative of the board at the Novice tryouts on Tuesday to get the list of kids wishing to tryout as well as Saturday at the Tyke skate for any Tykes wishing to attend a tryout. If you have any questions we will address them at this time.
