Close game ends in 3-2 loss
In a hard fought battle Saturday afternoon, the boys came out on the short end of a 3-2 loss to Walkerton.
Walkerton started the scoring half way through the first period and Kyle H. notched his 2nd of the year in the second period to tie it up 1-1.
Walkerton again retook the lead early in the third on a shot high , glove side that just beat goalie Tyler R.
Kieren W. then tied it up with a perfect shot from the slot on a pass from Sully F. to beat the Walkerton goaltender, who had no chance as Kieren made his first goal of the year a beauty.
Walkerton then again took the lead with another high shot to the glove side which Tyler R. got a piece of but not quite enough to stop it from going in.
With the goalie pulled for the last minute and a half, The boys did everything they could to try to tie it up but could not get it past the Walkerton goalie.
This was a very exciting game which had all parents and spectators hearts pumping and the boys will look forward to a rematch this Friday as the Walkerton Capitals return to play in the Reeves challenge.
