Girls Off to a Flying Start
The Mount Forest Pee Wee Girls are off to a great start with a 2-0-1 record.
The Pee Wee Girls are off to a flying start after a 7-1 win in Fergus over Thanksgiving weekend. Although we were missing a couple due to Thanksgiving dinners (who would schedule a game over Thanksgiving anyways? Dale!!!) the girls managed to skate to victory for the first game of the season.
Last weekend the girls managed to squeak out a 1-1 tie against a strong Walkerton B team, thanks to Rumphy who held us in the game! After many shots we were only down 1-0 when the coaches pulled the goalie late in the third to put out an extra attacker. After a nice defensive play by Nicole, Sarah found the back of the net for the equalizer with only 6 seconds left.
The girls traveled to Orangeville on Friday night to hopefully put another win on the board. The girls came out flying and were able to keep the puck in Orangeville's end for the first few minutes. The girls continued playing well and with 2 goals from Taylor, they went home with a 2-0 victory.
