The past two games were good ones for the Novice Rep Boys.
The Novice Rep took their game on the road this past weekend. The Rams made the drive to Wiarton where they showed the Bruce Peninsula North Stars that they weren’t going home with anything but a win. With Morgan Troyer’s defending stance between the pipes, the team took the ice and made it their game. After a game of back and forth and a whole lot of passing, the Rams secured a 13 – 1 win. Scoring for the Rams were Alex Iles (4), Gavyn Stevenson (2), William Black(3), Thomas Brown(2), and Evan Dewar(1). The crowd cheered wildly as Ty Duncan scored his first goal of the season. As the team continues to wow the fans, their passing skills also earned the players many assists. Sam Bye (3 assists), Rourke Elliott (1 A) and Tanner Gordon (1 A) were there making quick and easy passes to their team mates.
The Novice Rep boys then played Shallow Lake on Sunday Dec. 22nd where they once again tore up the ice and showed no mercy. Troyer was alert and on his game as he earned his fourth shut out of the season. As the team passed, dug hard in the corners and took many shots on the Laker goalie, the team secured another 10 – 0 win. Gavyn Stevenson was on fire as he netted 5 for the Rams while Black (3), Brown (1), and Elliott(1) also scored for the Rams. Shooting on net with a few close misses were Anthony Kelly and Sam Bye. Assisting with the goals were Iles (1), Brown (4) and Dewar (1). Defending and standing solid on the blue line were Ty Duncan and Tanner Gordon. Great work boys!
The Novice Rep Rams will be playing in the Minto Tournament in Harriston on December 13th.
